A few months ago my spouse and I re-subscribed to Max to watch Succession (the show about an ultra-wealthy family in which the adult kids take the effects of their parents’ emotional abuse out on each other) and Perry Mason (because Matthew Rhys is the best face actor there is, and I do not invite you to change my mind about this).

For some reason Max’s algorithm thought I would like a comedy-drama show called Somebody Somewhere based on my viewing habits. Maybe everyone else but me already knew about this gem of a show, but I decided to try it out without knowing anything about the plot.
